Ana Gallardo
Appropriation d’usage
Berges de Seine, Paris
22.10.2013 – 15.11.2013

This exhibition is part of the Hors les Murs projects of SAM.
With the support of SAM Art Projects, Ana Gallardo, Argentine artist, born in 1958, presents a work on the banks of the Seine as part of the Hors les Murs parcours of FIAC. Ana Gallardo has designed a sculpture containing an urban landscape, or rather a fragment of landscape. This work presents a horizon with its own habitat, to move from one place to another. The work suggests the idea to bring the landscape itself, a “real” landscape but also intimate, personal and subjective. A tree on wheels with a mattress and blankets nestled in its branches, as tools to relax and travel. Ana Gallardo wanted some sort of modification of the contemporary landscape, a suitable facility for unannounced departures to other horizons. Ana Gallardo lives and works in Buenos Aires. Self-taught, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Argentina and abroad. She is very involved in the Argentine artistic community and actively participates in the management of projects.
This exhibition is produced by SAM Art Projects in collaboration with Berges de Seine and the FIAC. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina and the Argentine Embassy in France.
