At the invitation of SAM Art Projects in collaboration with the Foundation Misol Duville exhibited at La Chapelle des Beaux- Arts de Paris as part of the Parcours Saint-Germain. On the occasion of his exhibition, Discard Geography, Matias Duville presents a surprising body of work creating a dialogue between the drawing and the object. His works defeats human presence and appear to be the direct consequence of a dream, a trip or a memory revealing his whereabouts. Through the staging of a mental landscape, the contemplation of the materials required by the parallel connection of simple elements such as wood, rope, chain or charcoal. All logic is questioned and form a space in which the track of time, the degradation, the thoughts and the beauty of the materials form a single spiritual territory. La Chapelle of the National School of Fine Art is thus the perfect setting for the works of Matias Duville to create his own universe.
This exhibition is produced by SAM Art Projects in collaboration with the Foundation Misol, Colombia, and the Parcours Saint Germain. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cult of Argentina and the Argentine Embassy in France.
